28/04/13 - Our Preserved Trams page has been updated to reflect the return of Glasgow Tram No 488 to Britain from France. A link is provided to the 488 web site. Restoration work will be completed by the Ffestiniog Railway Company and is possible through the bequest made by the late Peter Mitchell. On completion of the restoration No 488 is destined for the East Anglia Transport Museum for operation on their trackwork. The inaugural run is hoped to be in the Summer of 2016.
An article mentioning No 488 will appear in the next edition of the Society Annual Publication - Scottish Transport No 65 expected in Autumn 2013.

Over 4000 visitors were recorded on the first day 22nd February 2009. The photographs were taken on 22nd & 23rd February.
